Incubation is a support process that accelerates the successful development of start-up and fledging companies by providing an array of targeted resources and services.
Find out more about our process on the Incubator Services page.

The Southwest Louisiana Entrepreneurial and Economic Development Center (SEED) is a Joint Venture and Cooperative Endeavor Agreement among the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, City of Lake Charles, McNeese State University, and the SWLA Alliance to establish an economic development center to foster economic growth and development in Southwest Louisiana.

Business Incubators reduce the risk of small business failures. Historically, NBIA member incubators have reported that 87 percent of all firms that have graduated from their incubators are still in business five years later. The Small Business Administration reports that after five years the majority of businesses are no longer in business.

We do not lease to the general public. Office space is reserved only for Business Incubator clients who have applied and been approved through our formal application process. For more information on applying to become and incubator client visit our application page.

Unfortunately, the SEED Center Business Incubator is restricted to only for profit businesses.

This innovative space is a wonderful open environment for businesses, startups and independents to work and collaborate in as they grow their businesses. Visit our shared workspace (coworking space) page for more information.
